My name is Danielle Kronmiller and my major is Elementary Education. I have lived in the Florida Panhandle since I
was born in 1999. Back in my hometown I live
with my mother, father, brother and my grandmother on a lake out in the
country. Tallahassee has been a huge
adjustment for me, but being here has been a great experience so far.
Since I went to school in a smaller town we didn’t have as
many opportunities to interact with technology in an educational setting. The school I attended provided technology
classes such as robotics and classes where you could get Microsoft certifications. There were also iPod’s and iPad’s that the
teachers could check out from the library to use in their classrooms. We were able to listen to audio books on the iPod’s. Even though the teachers had these resources we
rarely ever used them.
I hope that in this class I will learn more about how to use
technology in an educational setting. I also
want to learn about the different technological equipment that can be
used. I think that it would be helpful
for me to learn more about technology since I was not exposed to it frequently in
my previous education. It is helpful to
know how to use technology in our society because of all the advancements that
are being made.
